Diplomat, American Board of Orofacial Pain
Dr. Smith, who grew up in Lawrence, received his Bachelor's Degree from Merrimack
College in North Andover. He received his dental degree from Georgetown University
Dental School in Washington, D.C. He is board certified in his special interest of
TMJ and head, neck and facial pain. Dr. Smith has been a clinical instructor at Tufts
University School of Dental Medicine in the Craniofacial Pain Center for the past twenty years.

Joseph P. Beninato, D.M.D.
Dr. Beninato grew up in Lawrence and North Andover. He graduated from the University
of Mass. at Amherst with a Bachelor's Degree in Microbiology. He received his Dental
degree from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in 1985. Dr. Beninato is an
instructor at Northern Essex Community College in the Dental Assisting Program. He is
certified in Invisalign orthodontics. Dr. Beninato is also a certified Red Cross CPR and
swim instructor.

Our current staff consists of a friendly, knowledgeable front office staff. They will handle
your questions regarding appointments, office and billing practices, and insurance. Our
hygiene staff and dental assistants are experienced, compassionate and professional. They
